Cleves Primary School

      A Brighter Future

      Pupil Premium

Cleves School received funding from central government last year in order to remove barriers to learning for pupils who are economically disadvantaged. This is called Pupil Premium funding. The amount of funding is determined by the number of pupils who are entitled to free school meals. At our school this figure is higher than most schools in the country.

The money was used to partially fund the cost of our Inclusion Team and specific projects therein. In turn, the team of three teachers worked with pupils designated to receive support via Pupil Premium. Pupil Premium funding also allowed us to take on an additional teacher for one term in Year 6 to support pupils in their SATS preparation.

It also subsidised our Breakfast Club which aims to promote better attendance/punctuality as well as providing a healthy start to the day for disadvantaged pupils.

The money also helped subsidise 35 children who attended residential school journey.
